Meet My Sensei
Tim Evans

Evans was born in 1958 in Hanford, California. In 1974, at age 15, he decided to take Karate lessons at the local YMCA. Domingo Bongato, a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Shorin-Ryu under Latino Gonzales (Commando Karate Club of the Philippines) was his first Sensei. Evans received his 1st Degree Black Belt in 1977. Throughout his Martial Arts journey, he has had the opportunity to not only study the Shorin-Ryu system of Okinawan Karate in Okinawa, Japan, but has been fortunate enough to train extensively in Jeet Kune Do, Kali, Kabaroan Eskrima, Sei Shindo Kai and Okinawan Kobudo. Shihan Evans currently lives and teaches Shorin-Ryu Karate and Kobudo in the Sparks / Reno area of Nevada. His current Sensei is Jiro Shiroma – Hanshi of Arizona ( 9th Degree Black Belt – Sei Shindo Kai ).
